DJ Stephan M

Stephan began with humble beginnings in 1985 in Paris, France. His career began with the advent of his own radio show on a local radio station (FM 91); Stephan’s radio exposure led him to djing Paris’ elite events and festivals. Stephan’s career started to take off in 1989 being a DJ on NRJ Radio (Europe’s top dance station) working on his own show " les Disques a la demande "and collaborating with Dimitri from Paris on the show “ NJR DANCE “ (voted #1 dance music show).

In 1993, Stephan began a heavy focus on the club scene, earning guest sets at “Le Boy” with Laurent Garnier and Antoine Clamaran at “Le Palace”and “Central”. His travel schedule included such clubs as “Macumba” in Switzerland, “La Playa” in Barcelona, “KU” in Ibiza. Stephan also played some of Europe's largest festivals with an audience in attendance of over 10,000 people in Holland and Germany along side DJs CJ Bolland, Sven Vath, DJ Jurgen, Taucher, Paul Van Dyk. Included in his busy travel schedule Stephan held residencies in Bora Bora / Amnesia” in the south of France, Le Styliss /Dijon, Copacabana / Papagayo, “la Tipolia”/ Montpellier, just to name a few.

In the summer of 1996, Stephan decided to further his career in the United States. Upon arriving in the U.S., played the world famous Bash in South Beach and was offered the residency there. At Bash, he compiled and mixed the Bash CD Volume 3. He also wrote and produced track " The Concept of Love " (remixed by George Acosta) for SFP Records. In 1998, Stephan became the resident DJ for Tantra, Restaurant / Lounge in South Beach. There he brought a lot of new and positive energy through the music he played there. He brought forth a mix of Pumping House, Tribal beats and Trance. Stephan also played as guest appearances at “Crobar” in Miami, summer residencies at “Nikki Beach Club”, Rain, Lime bar, Luna,“ China Club” in New York City, “Plush” in Atlanta and " House of Blues " in New Orleans. Stephan is also requested DJ by such super stars as Will Smith and Dennis Rodman in Miami for private parties.

In 1999,Stephan launched his own music production company, MD Productions Inc. producing tracks for European television as well as remixing for Jennifer Lopez. In the studio Stephan has a number of releases including “Dark Days " on the DJ Buzz Compilation / Warner Music Europe alongside tracks by Bob Sinclair, Kid Crème and David Guetta.
" African Journey " on SFP Records led to big results! Stephan’s TRIBAL MIXES ended up being played by DJs such as, Bob Jones, Hex Hector, Pete Heller, Roger Sanchez and Graeme Park.
This March, Stephan introduced his latest release on SFP entitled " The Tribe Has Spoken “. The Track was charted top 10 in Brazil, Denmark and the UK.

In 2000, Las Vegas Super-Club Utopia (voted top 5 underground dance club) offered Stephan rotating residency with Kimball Collins and Donald Glaude.
March 2003 for the Winter Music Conference, Stephan played " The Tribal Sessions " alongside Chus & Ceballos, Ricky Montanari.
Summer 2003,Stephan m " The Tribe has Spoken ' has been featured on various compilations like " Privilege Ibiza 2003","Sound Factory NYC"," Salon de Mezclas"
(Spain) to name few.
Out now on Deep Touch Black " Marabou",already charted worlwide," Single of the Week" in the UK and Number 33 Hype Charts in England.
To be release in the upcoming weeks Ebar " One Track Mind" ( remixed by Stephan M and Marc Vane) on NYC based label Sifted recordings,worldwide distribution by Universal.
Stephan M " Snake Charmer" and " Go Deeper" collaboration between Stephan M and Italian DJ Nikki Scanni on SFP Records.
